About

Prof. Sukru Akyuz, MD, began his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English program). After completing his first year there, he transferred to Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) and from which he graduated as the top of his class in 2003.
He completed his residency at Istanbul Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital, earning the title of Cardiology Specialist.He has particularly specialized in interventional cardiology, focusing on the treatment of heart diseases using minimally invasive, non-surgical methods. Thanks to these innovative methods, he provides treatment opportunities to many patients without the need for open-heart surgery. He was awarded first place at the “CVI: Cardiovascular Innovations Congress – Challenging Cases Competition in Interventional Cardiology” held in the United States.
He is an internationally recognized proctor and consultant in the field of structural heart diseases. In this role, he provides certification training on advanced interventional techniques to cardiologists both in Türkiye and in neighboring countries. He has 22 years of experience in his field. He sees patients at his private practice and performs medical procedures at affiliated private hospitals.
Born in Istanbul in 1979, he is married and has two children.
