  • Prof. Dr. Şükrü Akyüz began his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English). After completing his first year there, he transferred to Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) and graduated as the valedictorian in 2003.
  • He completed his residency at Istanbul Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital, earning the title of Cardiology Specialist.
  • He specializes particularly in the treatment of heart diseases through interventional methods that do not require surgical intervention. Thanks to these innovative methods, he provides treatment opportunities to many patients without the need for open-heart surgery.
  • He won first prize in the “CVI: Cardiovascular Innovations Congress, Interventional Treatment of Challenging Cases Competition” held in the USA.
  • He is an international instructor (proctor) and consultant in the field of structural heart diseases. With this title, he provides certification training on advanced interventional techniques to cardiologists in Turkey and neighboring countries.
  • He has 22 years of experience in his field. He accepts patients at his private clinic and performs medical operations at affiliated private hospitals.
